Terms of Use for KoreanbyDashee

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the KoreanbyDashee mobile application ("App"), operated by KoreanbyDashee ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using KoreanbyDashee, you confirm that:

• You are at least 13 years of age

• You have read, understood, and agree to these Terms

• You comply with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

KoreanbyDashee is an educational tool designed to support independent Korean language learning. The App allows users to:

• Generate AI-powered Korean learning worksheets from any Korean sentence

• Access grammar explanations, translations, and romanization

• Save worksheets for future reference

• Customize the app experience with themes

The App is intended as a supplementary learning tool and is not a substitute for comprehensive language instruction.

3. Subscription Terms

3.1 Premium Subscription

KoreanbyDashee offers a Premium subscription for $7.99 per month (USD), which includes:

• 30 worksheet generations per day

• Ability to save worksheets

• Access to all custom themes

• Ad-free experience

Free users receive:

• 2 worksheet generations per day

• Limited functionality

3.2 Auto-Renewal

Your subscription will automatically renew each month unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same price.

3.3 Billing

• All purchases are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store

• Payment will be charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase

• Pricing may vary by region based on local currency exchange rates and applicable taxes

3.4 Free Trial

KoreanbyDashee does not currently offer a free trial period. You will be charged immediately upon subscribing to Premium.

3.5 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple App Store or Google Play Store account settings. Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain Premium access until the end of your paid period.

To cancel on iOS:

• Go to Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions > KoreanbyDashee > Cancel Subscription

To cancel on Android:

• Open Google Play Store > Menu > Subscriptions > KoreanbyDashee > Cancel Subscription

3.6 Refunds

All purchases are final. Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google according to their respective refund policies. We do not directly process refunds. Contact Apple or Google support to request a refund.

3.7 Saved Content After Subscription Ends

Worksheets saved during your Premium subscription period will remain accessible even after your subscription expires. However, you will not be able to save new worksheets or generate more than 2 worksheets per day once your subscription ends.

4. Account and User Conduct

4.1 Account Creation

• You may create an account using an email address or use the App as a guest

• Guest data is stored locally on your device and is not backed up

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials

4.2 Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose

• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or its systems

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App

• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the App

• Share your Premium account with others

• Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit App content

• Submit malicious content or attempt to disrupt App functionality

• Violate any intellectual property rights

4.3 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, without refund of any subscription fees paid.

5. AI-Generated Content

5.1 Content Accuracy

KoreanbyDashee uses artificial intelligence to generate Korean language worksheets, translations, and grammar explanations. While we strive for accuracy:

• AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or inconsistencies

• Content is provided for educational purposes only

• We do not guarantee 100% accuracy of translations or grammar explanations

• Users should verify important translations with qualified human translators

5.2 Educational Use Only

The App is designed for personal language learning. Do not rely on the App for:

• Professional translation services

• Legal, medical, or official document translation

• Critical communications where accuracy is essential

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 App Ownership

The KoreanbyDashee App, including its design, code, features, trademarks, and all related intellectual property, is owned by KoreanbyDashee and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

6.2 User-Generated Worksheets

• You retain ownership of any Korean text you input into the App

• The AI-generated worksheets created from your input are for your personal, non-commercial use

• You may not sell, license, or commercially distribute worksheets generated by the App

6.3 Limited License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

7. Privacy and Data

Your use of KoreanbyDashee is also governed by our Privacy Policy, available at [your privacy policy URL]. By using the App, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.

Key points:

• We collect minimal personal information (email, purchase history, usage data)

• Guest users' data is stored locally and not transmitted to our servers

• We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes

• You may request deletion of your account and data at any time

8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

8.1 "As Is" Provision

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

8.2 No Guarantee of Results

We do not guarantee that use of KoreanbyDashee will result in language proficiency or any specific learning outcomes.

8.3 Service Availability

We do not guarantee that the App will be available at all times or that it will be error-free. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the App at any time without notice.

8.4 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, KOREANBYDASHEE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:

• Your use or inability to use the App

• Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers

• Any bugs, viruses, or other harmful code transmitted through the App

• Any errors or inaccuracies in AI-generated content

• Any other matter relating to the App

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRIOR TO THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO LIABILITY (OR $50 USD IF NO PAYMENTS WERE MADE).

9. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with third-party services including:

• Apple App Store / Google Play Store (for purchases)

• RevenueCat (subscription management)

• Firebase / Google Cloud (authentication and backend services)

Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and conditions. We are not responsible for the practices or content of third-party services.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes:

• We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document

• Significant changes will be communicated via in-app notification or email

• Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms

We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

11. Governing Law and Disputes

11.1 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

11.2 Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the American Arbitration Association's rules, except where prohibited by law.

11.3 Class Action Waiver

You agree to resolve disputes with us on an individual basis and waive any right to participate in class action lawsuits or class-wide arbitration.

12. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

13. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and KoreanbyDashee regarding use of the App and supersede any prior agreements.

15. Apple-Specific Terms

15.1 Acknowledgment

You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and KoreanbyDashee only, not with Apple Inc. ("Apple"), and Apple is not responsible for the App or its content.

15.2 License Scope

The license granted to you is limited to a non-transferable license to use the App on any Apple-branded product you own or control as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.

15.3 Maintenance and Support

Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support services for the App. All support inquiries should be directed to koreanbydasheehelp@gmail.com.

15.4 Warranty

Apple is not responsible for any warranty claims related to the App. In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) paid for the App. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App.

15.5 Product Claims

Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App or your use of the App, including but not limited to: (i) product liability claims; (ii) any claim that the App fails to conform to legal or regulatory requirements; and (iii) claims arising under consumer protection law.

15.6 Intellectual Property Rights

Apple is not responsible for any third-party claims that the App infringes intellectual property rights.

15.7 Third-Party Beneficiary

Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. Upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

By using KoreanbyDashee, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use.
